Memorial Tribute - Bob Molinaro

For decades, the Molinaro name has been synonymous with service to the community. More often than not he gifts received by dozens of agencies and organizations every year are treated anonymously.

Only on rare occasions has the Bob Molinaro name been attached to a community project. The generosity of the family and the Warren family has gone far beyond measure.

None of Bob’s family would ever seek recognition for the personal and financial support they have given but as one who has known them since childhood I must say that Waterloo would not be the same without Bob and Mary Ellen’s patronage and the support of their kids.

Bob was a former airport commissioner and a constant advocate for improved air service in Waterloo. In memory of Bob’s devotion to Waterloo, the family has sponsored the cost of bringing the United States Air Force Thunderbirds to our show.

May Bob’s spirit continue to soar over Waterloo and the Cedar Valley and may his family be consoled by the gratitude of all who enjoy the air show.

Patriotic Tribute

The Thunder in the Valley event will be promoted as a patriotic tribute to our military of yesterday, today and tomorrow. There will be a flag display coordinated with the Cedar Valley Veteran organizations.

The military objectives for events such as this include; support for military recruiting and troop retention, to assure public confidence in our fighting forces and to demonstrate the sheer might of the U.S. Armed Forces. Representatives of all branches of the military will be on hand to meet, greet, and answer any of your questions.
